Nellore ANM Dies by Suicide, Suicide Note Urges Use of Insurance Money for Father’s Treatment
According to reports, Chandana Priya was working as an ANM at the village secretariat. She allegedly took the extreme step by hanging herself with a dupatta from a ceiling fan when no one else was present at the office.

Nellore: A 27-year-old Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM), identified as Sai Chandana Priya, allegedly died by suicide at the Tonukumala Village Secretariat in Chillakur mandal of Nellore district.
According to reports, Chandana Priya was working as an ANM at the village secretariat. She allegedly took the extreme step by hanging herself with a dupatta from a ceiling fan when no one else was present at the office.
Police reportedly recovered a suicide note in which Chandana Priya apologised to her mother and mentioned that she had a death insurance policy worth Rs 60 lakh in her name.
She allegedly requested her family to arrange a death certificate showing that she had died due to a snake bite or electric shock so that the insurance amount could be claimed and used for her father’s medical treatment.

In the note, she also reportedly asked her sister to take care of their parents.
Chandana Priya’s father, Ramanayya, has reportedly been suffering from health problems and has been undergoing treatment in Chennai.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. Further details are awaited.
