‘Rapist’s Father Has No Right to Be Union Minister’: Telangana Youth Demands Resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan and Modi

Speaking about the issue, the youth representatives alleged that the Education Minister should have resigned immediately if he had any sense of responsibility. They also criticised Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, saying that discussing their role in the matter was pointless.

Hyderabad: Telangana youth have strongly criticised the Union government over the ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged examination irregularities and student protests, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking about the issue, the youth representatives alleged that the Education Minister should have resigned immediately if he had any sense of responsibility. They also criticised Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, saying that discussing their role in the matter was pointless.

The Telangana youth claimed that students had only exercised their right to peacefully protest, while alleging that the police were responsible for creating violence during the demonstrations.

They further demanded that the responsibility for the issue should not be limited to the Education Minister and called for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to step down as well.

Reacting to allegations of international funding being received by those involved in the protests, the youth questioned the government over the claims. They said that if foreign funding was indeed being received, the Central government should have information about it and should take action against those allegedly involved.

The youth also challenged the authorities to identify and apprehend anyone receiving illegal foreign funding instead of making unsubstantiated allegations.

The statements come amid continuing political and student protests over the examination-related controversy, with demonstrators demanding accountability and reforms in the education and examination systems.
