97 Young Taekwondo Athletes Shine at 9th Inter School Championship, Qualify for State Meet
The tournament aimed to test the technical skills of young taekwondo players, provide competitive exposure, and identify talented athletes for higher-level competitions.
Hyderabad: The 9th Inter School Taekwondo Championship 2026 was successfully conducted on Sunday, July 26, at Game Point, 100 Feet Road, under the banner of the United Taekwondo Academy and the guidance of the District Taekwondo Association.
The championship witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 97 young athletes representing 13 clubs and academies in the Sub-Junior and Cadet (Boys & Girls) Kyorugi categories.
The tournament aimed to test the technical skills of young taekwondo players, provide competitive exposure, and identify talented athletes for higher-level competitions.
According to the organizers, all Gold and Silver medal winners have qualified for the Telangana State Inter School Taekwondo Championship, scheduled to be held from August 28 to August 30, 2026.
The championship concluded successfully with the support of referees, coaches, parents, and volunteers.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Sri D. Ganesh, Secretary, Taekwondo TPL, Smt. Navneetha, Organiser, Mr. Sanjoy Singh, M. Chandershaker, Technical Director, and other dignitaries, who congratulated the medal winners and encouraged them to perform well at the upcoming state championship.
The event highlighted the growing popularity of taekwondo among school students and provided a valuable platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and sportsmanship.
