Hyderabad Traffic Police Conduct Two-Day Drunk Driving Special Drive
According to a press note dated July 26, 2026, the Hyderabad Traffic Police conducted a special enforcement drive on 24-07-2026 and 25-07-2026 to improve road safety and curb drunken driving.
During the two-day operation, a total of 572 drivers were caught driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol.

- 475 two-wheeler riders
- 43 three-wheeler drivers
- 54 four-wheeler and other vehicle drivers
BAC Levels of Drivers Booked
The Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) levels recorded during the special drive were:
- 30–50: 130 cases
- 51–100: 250 cases
- 101–150: 102 cases
- 151–200: 57 cases
- 201–250: 13 cases
- 251–300: 15 cases
- 300 and above: 5 cases
