Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has imposed a ₹15,000 fine on Aisha Rao Bridal Wear for allegedly releasing sump cleaning wastewater onto a public road, causing a drainage blockage and inconvenience to the public. Officials also seized the dewatering submersible pump used during the sump cleaning operation. The action was taken at Road No. 10, Banjara Hills, under the Venkateswara Colony Ward, Jubilee Hills Circle.

₹15,000 Fine Imposed on Aisha Rao Bridal Wear
The Water Board imposed a ₹15,000 penalty on Aisha Rao Bridal Wear, operating under CAN No. 061263187 and under the ownership of K. Swaroop Kumar Reddy.
The establishment is located at Road No. 10, Banjara Hills, within the limits of Venkateswara Colony Ward, Jubilee Hills Circle.
According to officials, the action was taken after the establishment discharged wastewater generated during sump cleaning directly onto the road.

Road Discharge Caused Drainage Blockage
Officials said the sump cleaning work was carried out through a private agency.
The wastewater released onto the road allegedly blocked the drainage system for one day, causing serious inconvenience to the public.
The Water Board stated that such actions disrupt the drainage network and create problems for residents and commuters.
Dewatering Submersible Pump Seized
After receiving a complaint, Water Board officials inspected the location.
During the inspection, they seized the dewatering submersible pump set used for the sump cleaning operation.
Warning Issued to Company and Agency
Officials also conducted an awareness session for the company’s representatives and the private agency involved.
They instructed them to:
- Not discharge wastewater onto public roads during sump cleaning.
- Strictly follow Water Board regulations while carrying out such work.
The officials warned that stricter action would be taken if similar violations are repeated in the future.
