Another Pulasa fish was reportedly sold for ₹7,300 at the market, highlighting the wide variation in prices depending on the fish’s size, type and availability.

Pulasa, known as Hilsa, is highly prized in the Godavari region for its distinctive taste and is especially popular during the monsoon season. Its limited availability during the season often leads to a sharp increase in prices.
