Abhinava Krishna, Bala Manvitha Shine at Hyderabad District Badminton Championships 2026

Rohan Pabbisetty secured the Boys Under-19 title after Yuva Surya Jagarlamudi gave a walkover, while Bala Manvitha Reddy Allam added another title to her tally by winning the Girls Under-19 final against Amrita Rao Chepyala 15-12, 15-7.

Hyderabad: Top shuttlers from across the city displayed impressive performances at the Badminton Association of Hyderabad District Championships 2026 held at Adira Badminton Academy, Manikonda, on Sunday.

In the Men’s Singles final, Abhinava Krishna V.D. emerged champion after defeating Krishna Suhas Mallipeddi in straight games 15-11, 15-9.

The Women’s Singles title was clinched by Bala Manvitha Reddy Allam, who fought back strongly to beat Sarayu Suryaneni 9-15, 16-14, 15-12 in a thrilling three-game encounter.

In the Under-11 category, Sri Likith G G won the Boys Singles title by defeating Nandhan Kolli 15-13, 15-12, while Shreya Yadav lifted the Girls Singles crown after overcoming Saanvi Cheluru 13-15, 15-10, 15-11.

Arnav Prakash secured the Boys Under-13 title via walkover against Mokshagna Surpur. In the Girls Under-13 final, Chavakula Yasaswi Chavakula edged past Vrinda Kore in a close contest 15-11, 13-15, 15-13.

Srisai Manikanta Kaushik Gutti won the Boys Under-15 title after Darsh Goel retired at 8-4, while Hamsini Manne captured the Girls Under-15 crown with a 15-12, 15-9 victory over Kailash Mokshasri Gupta.

Krishna Suhas Mallipeddi bounced back to claim the Boys Under-17 title by defeating Rohan Pabbisetty 11-15, 15-8, 17-15 in a gripping final. In the Girls Under-17 section, Amrita Rao Chepyala defeated Hamsini Manne 15-9, 18-16.

In the doubles events, Devansh S and Sri Likith G G won the Boys Under-11 doubles title, while Saanvi Ch and Sivanagavalli Bura emerged winners in the Girls Under-11 doubles category.

Arnav Prakash and Rishit Sharma clinched the Boys Under-13 doubles title, while Aaradhya Biswas and Vaidehi Agarwal won the Girls Under-13 doubles championship.

Darsh Goel and Karthikeya Barla emerged champions in the Boys Under-15 doubles category, while Dhatri Vaddu and Shanvi won the Girls Under-15 doubles title.

In the Under-17 doubles events, Bhuvan Pola and N Charan claimed the Boys title, while Sarali Kosuri and Tanisha Kanduri lifted the Girls title.

Rohan Pabbisetty and Yuva Surya Jagarlamudi won the Boys Under-19 doubles championship, while Allam Bala Manvitha Reddy and Amrita Rao Chepyala secured the Girls Under-19 doubles title.

In the Mixed Doubles final, Shiva Sanjeev Gade and Hamsika Mathuraju defeated Ishanvi Kanaparti and Dhanush Ayyalasomayajula 15-12, 15-8 to emerge champions.

The closing ceremony was attended by Sri Vankina Chamundeswara Nath, President of the Badminton Association of Hyderabad, Sri Jakkula Srinivas, CEO of Truzon Solar, the main sponsors of the tournament, Sri Kanuri Vamsidhar, General Secretary of the association, Sri C.B. Tara Prashanth Chandra, Executive Member, and Sri Shikkaram Srinivas, Owner of Adira Badminton Academy, who felicitated the winners and runners-up.
