Hyderabad: In a major judgment in the 2017 sensational murder case registered at Attapur Police Station, the X Additional District & Sessions Judge (ADJ) Court, Rajendranagar, Ranga Reddy District, on July 17, 2026, convicted Nisar Ahmed and sentenced him to life imprisonment along with a fine of ₹15,000. The court found him guilty of murdering Neesar Ahmed over a business dispute. The case was registered based on a written complaint lodged on April 24, 2017, at 12:30 pm by:

- Age: 74 years
- Father: Mohd Abdul Kareem
- Occupation: Real Estate Business
- Address: H.No. 12-2-823/A/158/3, Santhosh Nagar Colony, Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad
The complainant owned around 50 flats in Hyderabad.
Victim and Accused Rented Flat at Sajid Residency
According to the complaint, on April 19, 2017, while Mohd Abdul Waheed was at his farmhouse in Moinabad, his rental broker Latheefuddin informed him that two leather businessmen wanted a flat on rent.
The two persons were introduced as:
- Inthiyas, 45 years, from Vellore, Tamil Nadu
- Neesar Ahmed, 35 years, from Bangalore
They rented Flat No. 105 at Sajid Residency, Santosh Nagar Colony, for a monthly rent of ₹10,000 and informed the owner that they would vacate on April 25, 2017.
They occupied the flat on April 19, 2017, at 7:00 pm.
According to the investigation, on the evening of April 20, 2017, accused Nisar Ahmed locked the flat and fled.
Body Found After Foul Smell
On April 24, 2017, apartment watchman Dharmendra noticed a foul smell coming from Flat No. 105 and informed the owner.
The complainant, broker Latheefuddin, and the watchman opened the locked flat and found the highly decomposed body of Neesar Ahmed inside the bathroom.
Police found:
- Severe injuries on the victim’s forehead caused by a stone
- A rope tied around the victim’s neck
The investigation revealed that Nisar Ahmed allegedly murdered Neesar Ahmed over business disputes.
The accused was later arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
