Hyderabad: Hon’ble Minister for Minority Welfare and Public Enterprises, Mohammed Azharuddin, visited several historic Ashur Khanas in Hyderabad’s Old City, offered Ziyarat, reviewed ongoing development works, and inspected arrangements being made for the Shia community ahead of upcoming religious observances. During the visit, he inspected restoration works, reviewed facilities for devotees, and reiterated the Telangana Government’s commitment to minority welfare, religious heritage preservation, communal harmony, and inclusive development under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

Mohammed Azharuddin Visits Historic Ashur Khanas in Hyderabad Old City
During his visit, Minister Mohammed Azharuddin inspected the following religious institutions:
- Bibi’s Ashur Khana
- Ashur Khana Khidmat-e-Rasool
- Azakhana-e-Tashreehat
- Bashiyyah Ashur Khana
- Other prominent religious institutions
The Minister offered Ziyarat and closely monitored the progress of restoration and development activities being undertaken at these sites.
He directed officials to ensure timely completion of the works while preserving the historical, religious, and cultural heritage of the sacred institutions.
Minister Praises CM Revanth Reddy’s Commitment Towards Minority Welfare
Speaking to the media, Mohammed Azharuddin said the Telangana Government, under the dynamic and inclusive leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, remains fully committed to the welfare, dignity, and progress of Muslim minorities across the State.
The Minister stated:
“Hon’ble Chief Minister Revanth Reddy believes that the development of minorities is an integral part of Telangana’s overall progress. His government is working with sincerity and determination to ensure that every minority community receives equal opportunities, better facilities, and the respect they deserve.”
‘Chief Minister Has Extended Full Support to Muslim Community’
Mohammed Azharuddin further said:
“Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has consistently extended his full support to the Muslim community and has given clear instructions to all departments to strengthen welfare measures, preserve religious heritage, and provide every possible assistance during important religious occasions. His vision is to build a Telangana where every citizen feels secure, respected, and included in the development process.”
The Minister said the government is making continuous efforts to support minority welfare initiatives across Telangana.
Four Days of Food Distribution Arranged for Devotees
The Minister informed that the Telangana Government has arranged four days of food distribution for devotees and participants attending the religious gatherings.
According to him, all necessary facilities have been arranged to ensure the smooth conduct of the religious observances.
Summer Arrangements Reviewed for Devotees
Considering the prevailing summer conditions, Mohammed Azharuddin reviewed arrangements related to:
- Coolers
- Drinking water
- Sanitation
- Lighting
- Other essential amenities
The Minister instructed officials to ensure the comfort and convenience of devotees attending the religious events.
He also directed officials to remain available round the clock and ensure that no devotee faces any inconvenience during the religious observances.
Muslim Community Appreciates Government’s Efforts
Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the Minister said:
“The Muslim minority community deeply appreciates the concern and sensitivity shown by Hon’ble Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
