Bandaru Dattatraya Travels by Train to Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Supports PM’s Public Transport Vision
Former Governor and former Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya travelled by train from Secunderabad to Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on May 29, 2026, promoting the use of public transport in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of strengthening the economy through sustainable and fuel-efficient travel.

Hyderabad: Former Governor and former Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya travelled by train from Secunderabad to Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on May 29, 2026, promoting the use of public transport in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of strengthening the economy through sustainable and fuel-efficient travel.
According to a statement issued by Kailas Nagesh, Private Secretary to the former Governor, Shri Dattatraya adopted fuel-saving and cost-cutting measures amid the ongoing West Asia crisis and the rise in global fuel prices.

The statement noted that the senior BJP leader chose rail travel to encourage citizens to utilise public transport systems, which not only help reduce fuel consumption but also contribute to easing the economic burden caused by fluctuating international crude oil prices.
