Choppadandi Farmers Protest Inclusion of Agricultural Lands in 22A Prohibited List

According to the farmers, lands belonging to 428 farmers in Gumlappur, 146 in Chakunta, 154 in Ragampet and 120 in Chityalapalli have reportedly been added to the prohibited list.

Karimnagar: Farmers from several villages in Choppadandi mandal of Karimnagar district are making rounds of government offices, alleging that their agricultural lands have been unjustly included in the 22A prohibited list.

According to the farmers, lands belonging to 428 farmers in Gumlappur, 146 in Chakunta, 154 in Ragampet and 120 in Chityalapalli have reportedly been added to the prohibited list.

The affected farmers said they have been cultivating these lands for decades and expressed strong anger over their inclusion in the restricted category. They claimed that the move has created difficulties for them in dealing with their agricultural properties.

The farmers have been approaching various government offices seeking removal of their lands from the 22A prohibited list and demanding that the authorities examine their grievances at the earliest.

They warned that if their lands are not removed from the prohibited list immediately, they will launch large-scale protests and intensify their agitation.

The farmers have urged the authorities to investigate the matter and take appropriate steps to resolve the issue.
