CM Revanth Reddy Targets Opposition, Says Development and Welfare Are His Only Priorities

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy attacks the Opposition and BRS, accusing them of creating controversies for political gains. He says development and welfare remain his government’s top priorities.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched a sharp attack on Opposition parties, particularly the BRS, accusing them of creating controversies and provoking sentiments for political gains. Speaking at a recent event in Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy said his focus remains on the development of Telangana and the welfare of its people, while criticizing what he described as the politics of agitation and double standards followed by Opposition leaders.

Revanth Reddy Accuses Opposition of Political Drama

The Chief Minister said Opposition parties were trying to instigate controversies and sentiments to gain political advantage. He stated that he was not interested in such politics and emphasized that his entire attention was focused on the state’s development and public welfare.

Revanth Reddy also criticized the previous BRS government and alleged that the party’s leaders had adopted double standards on several issues.

CM Raises Questions Over NTR Statue and Land Allotment

During his speech, Revanth Reddy recalled that a statue of late Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) had been installed in Khammam by former BRS minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar.

The Chief Minister questioned whether the KCR-led government had allotted 10 acres of land to the Kamma community in Hyderabad. He argued that great personalities such as NTR should not be linked to any particular caste or region, stating that NTR had earned a permanent place in the hearts of Telugu people across communities.

Remarks on Farmers’ Dharna

Revanth Reddy referred to comments allegedly made by BRS leader Balka Suman regarding the ongoing farmers’ dharna in Telangana.

According to the Chief Minister, Balka Suman himself had remarked that genuine farmers were not participating in the protests and that only BRS workers were attending them. Revanth Reddy used these remarks to criticize the Opposition, alleging that it was organizing artificial movements for political benefits rather than addressing real public concerns.

Revanth Reddy Says Welfare and Development Remain Government’s Focus

The Telangana Chief Minister reiterated that his government’s priority is development and welfare rather than political confrontation. He maintained that creating controversies and exploiting public sentiments for political gains would not help the state progress.

Revanth Reddy said leaders should focus on serving the people and ensuring development rather than engaging in what he described as politically motivated campaigns.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on May 30 accused Opposition parties, especially the BRS, of creating controversies and sentiments for political gains while reiterating that his government is focused on development and welfare. Speaking in Hyderabad, he referred to issues related to the NTR statue, land allotment, and ongoing farmers’ protests, and criticized what he called artificial political movements aimed at securing electoral benefits.
