Hyderabad: Sheikh Abdullah Sohail, the former leader of Telangana Congress, officially joined the BRS party today. The event took place in a gathering at Necklace Road, Jal Vihar, where Working President of the BRS Party and Minister Tarak Rama Rao welcomed Sheikh Abdullah Sohail into the party fold.
During the event, Tarak Rama Rao emphasized that the Congress party has historically treated minorities as a mere vote bank, neglecting their development and welfare. He highlighted that the current administration in Telangana is actively focusing on the educational, economic, and social progress of the state, setting a positive example for the nation in minority welfare.
Additionally, Minister Tarak Rama Rao pointed out that in the 28 states of the country, the budget allocated for minorities falls short of what the Telangana government invests in their well-being.
