Hyderabad: D.S. Chauhan, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, today issued an order appealing to all citizens to maintain peace and tranquility for the smooth conduct of the Ganesh festival and idols’ immersion processions.
The Commissioner stated that bursting or throwing of firecrackers on public roads and at public places is strictly prohibited under the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate from 6 am on September 18 to 6 am on September 30.
The Commissioner also appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the police and to follow all law-and-order guidelines during the festival celebrations.
The Rachakonda Commissionerate covers a large area of Hyderabad, including the suburbs of LB Nagar, Hayathnagar, and Malkajgiri. The Ganesh festival is one of the most popular festivals in Hyderabad, and millions of people participate in the celebrations every year.
