Census 2027: GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan Inspects House Listing Survey in Shamshabad, Sets June 9 Deadline

GHMC Commissioner and Principal Census Officer Sri R.V. Karnan conducted a field inspection of the ongoing Census 2027 House Listing and Enumeration operations in Shamshabad Circle and directed officials to complete the process within one month, by June 9, 2026. The inspection covered Enumeration Block Nos. 83 and 94, where the Commissioner reviewed field-level implementation, data collection procedures, and household survey activities being carried out as part of the Census operations.

GHMC Commissioner Reviews Census 2027 Activities in Shamshabad

Sri R.V. Karnan, GHMC Commissioner and Principal Census Officer, along with Kum. Chandrakala, Additional Commissioner (Election) and Zonal Commissioner, Shamshabad, and Sri Suman Rao, Deputy Commissioner, Shamshabad, inspected the ongoing Census House Listing Operation process in Shamshabad Circle.

The inspection was conducted at Enumeration Block Nos. 83 and 94 to review the implementation of field-level Census activities and ensure accurate data collection.

During the visit, the Commissioner interacted with enumerators and supervising staff and examined the procedures being followed for house listing and collection of demographic details.

Door-to-Door Enumeration Survey Underway

According to officials, door-to-door house listing and enumeration survey activities are being carried out systematically to ensure:

• Accurate household coverage
• Timely data collection
• Effective implementation of the Census process

GHMC officials, enumerators, and field staff are continuously monitoring the progress of enumeration works through coordinated efforts on the ground.

R.V. Karnan Directs Officials to Complete Census Work by June 9

Sri R.V. Karnan instructed field staff to ensure that every household is covered without omission.

He also requested citizens to cooperate with enumerators by providing necessary information during the survey process.

The Commissioner directed officials to complete the Census House Listing process within one month, by June 9, 2026.

Deputy Commissioners Asked to Support Census Staff

The GHMC Commissioner instructed Deputy Commissioners to cooperate fully with Census staff and assign concerned field-level officers, including:

• Bill Collectors
• Tax Inspectors

The directions were issued to strengthen coordination and ensure smooth implementation of the Census operations in the field.
