Global Gathering in Hyderabad Highlights Exercise as Vital Medicine for Well-Being

Hyderabad: The World Conference on Exercise Medicine, a global initiative jointly organized by Palamuru University, Mahabubnagar, the International Federation of Physical Education, Fitness and Sports Science Association (IFPEFSSA) in India, and the Indian Federation of Computer Science in Sports, in association with the Asia College of Exercise Medicine, Malaysia, took place from the 2nd to the 4th of September 2023.

With representatives from 14 countries and over 300 delegates from across India, the conference proved to be a significant gathering of experts, researchers, and enthusiasts passionate about integrating exercise into healthcare practices.
The primary objective of the conference was to advocate for exercise as a form of medicine in the promotion of overall well-being. In an age where sedentary lifestyles and health-related issues are on the rise, the conference aimed to highlight the transformative power of exercise in preventing and managing health conditions, fostering mental health, and promoting a healthy way of life.
The conference was spread across three venues over its duration, with each day featuring engaging discussions, workshops, and presentations. On the 2nd of September, the event kicked off at Brahmakumaris, Gachibowli. It continued on the 3rd of September at Gaudium School and concluded on the 4th of September at VJIT College.
Prof. Rajesh Kumar, Incharge Director of Physical Education at Osmania University, played a pivotal role in organizing and disseminating the conference details.
