Four Accused Arrested in Masood Chandi Murder Case
According to the police, the arrested persons are:
- Shaik Zahed alias Sohail
- Zeeshan Nawab alias Jaber
- Amer Nawab alias Laddu
- Nafeez Sultana
The arrests were made after Golconda Police investigated the murder of social media influencer Shaik Mahboob alias Masood Chandi (26).
Alleged Dispute Over Love Marriage Led to Attack
Police said the suspects allegedly murdered Masood Chandi at his residence in Kumarwadi on June 12 following a dispute linked to his love marriage with Rukshar Begum.
According to investigators, Sohail, who is the victim’s brother-in-law, opposed the marriage and allegedly conspired with the other accused to attack him.
Police stated that the motive behind the crime was connected to the dispute arising from the marriage.
Victim Attacked With Iron Rod, Knife and Wooden Sticks
According to the police, the accused entered the victim’s house armed with:
- An iron rod
- A knife
- Wooden sticks
Police alleged that the suspects assaulted Masood Chandi, causing fatal injuries.
During the attack, the victim’s father was also injured while attempting to save his son.
Weapons Seized by Police
As part of the investigation, police seized:
- One iron rod
- One knife
Police said the seized items were allegedly used in the commission of the offence.
Accused Remanded, Investigation Continues
Following their arrest, all four accused were produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
Police confirmed that further investigation into the case is ongoing.
