Police in Goshamahal Police Station solved a major theft case within 24 hours and arrested a man accused of stealing Rs 5 lakh cash, around 30 tolas of gold, and 1.62 kilograms of silver ornaments from a house in Hyderabad.

According to police, the accused was identified as Donthula Rajesh, the cousin brother of the complainant Mahesh, who was residing in the neighboring house.
Police recovered the entire stolen property after arresting the accused.
Theft Took Place While Family Attended Function
According to police officials, Mahesh and his family had gone to attend a family function when the theft occurred.
Police said Rajesh, who was facing financial difficulties and debt pressure, noticed the gold jewellery worn by Mahesh’s wife during the family event and allegedly planned the theft afterward.
Accused Entered House Through Terrace
Police said that on the night of May 10, after all family members left the house, Rajesh entered the residence through the terrace route.
He allegedly first broke the lock on the second floor and searched the area. After finding nothing there, he moved to the third floor and broke open an almirah.
According to investigators, the accused stole:
- Rs 5 lakh cash
- Approximately 30 tolas of gold ornaments
- 1.62 kilograms of silver ornaments
Police said Rajesh later hid the stolen property in his own house.
To avoid suspicion, he reportedly went out for auto driving after committing the theft.
Goshamahal Police Crack Case Using CCTV and Technical Evidence
The case was investigated under the supervision of B. Shravan Kumar.
The investigation team included Detective SI Ajit Singh Bairwa and other police personnel.
Using CCTV footage and technical evidence, the police identified and arrested the accused within 24 hours.

Chandramohan also addressed the matter regarding the successful detection of the theft case.
Police confirmed that the entire stolen property was recovered from the accused.
