Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed the officials to make the necessary arrangements for the launch of Indiramma housing scheme on March 11.

Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided to those beneficiaries who do not have a house of their own. The government is going to provide financial assistance up to Rs 5 lakh for constructing houses.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting with officials on the Indiramma houses at the Secretariat here on Saturday and directed the officials to prepare the arrangements for the launch of the scheme.

Officials have been directed that the scheme should be applied to all the eligible people who are homeless and that the guidelines should be frammed immediately.

Under the scheme, those who have a house plot will be given Rs.5 lakh for the construction of the house. Homeless poor will be given Rs.5 lakh along with a house site.            

Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar were also present in the meeting.
