Haryana, Fatehabad: In a momentous event that marked the second time in two decades, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar proudly hoisted the national tricolor at Fatehabad Police Line, commemorating the 76th Independence Day. The sight of the unfurling flag was not just a celebration of freedom but also a tribute to the indomitable spirit of Haryana’s people.
This historic occasion echoed back to the year 2003 when the former Chief Minister, Om Prakash Chautala, elevated the flag in the nascent Fatehabad district. Now, twenty years later, in 2023, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, with a sense of honor and duty, repeated this noble gesture. Addressing the gathering, he shared an exciting piece of news – mirroring the growth of other cities like Gurugram and Panchkula, Hisar would soon welcome its Municipal Development Authority, further solidifying Haryana’s progress.
As the tricolor fluttered in the wind, Chief Minister Khattar announced a respite for students across Haryana. Tomorrow, on the 16th of August 2023, schools throughout the state would remain closed, allowing young minds to soak in the historical significance of the day.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Khattar noted the significance of celebrating Partition Day, an observance stemming from the country’s partition in 1947. He expressed his satisfaction at hoisting the flag on the 9th Independence Day in Haryana, underscoring the continued resonance of this day with the state’s people.
The unfurling of the tricolor by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Fatehabad marked a moment of profound historical significance. Beyond the symbolic gesture, it reaffirmed Haryana’s pivotal role in the freedom movement, its remarkable contributions to the nation’s development, and its dedication to service and progress.
