Huge gold and copper deposits discovered in Madina

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia recently announced the discovery of new sites for gold and copper ore deposits in the holy city of Madina. 

The Saudi Geological Survey informed that gold ore deposits were discovered within the boundaries of Aba al-Raha, in the Madina region, while the discovery of copper ore is reported at four sites in the Al-Madiq area in the Wadi Al-Faraa region in Madina.

Kingdom’s geological survey announced the discoveries on social media. 

Besides contributing to the development of the national economy, the new discoveries are expected to attract local and international investors. While having an expected investment of $533 million, the newly discovered site is also expected to generate around 4,000 jobs. 

Saudi Arabia is home to over 5,300 mineral locations including diverse metal and non-metal rocks, building materials, decorative rocks and gemstones. NDTV reported.
