Simultaneous searches were carried out at nearly 8 locations, including Kumar’s residence in Venkataramana Colony, Mallapur, where officials reportedly recovered ₹1.1 crore cash, around 1 kg gold ornaments, silver items, and key property documents. ACB Conducts Raids on HMWSSB GM Kumar
The Anti-Corruption Bureau launched simultaneous raids against Kumar, the General Manager of the Red Hills Water Board under Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
According to the information provided, ACB officials carried out searches at nearly 8 locations linked to Kumar.
The raids were conducted not only at Kumar’s residence but also at the houses of his relatives.
Searches Conducted at Mallapur Residence
ACB officials reportedly started searches from early morning at Kumar’s residence located in Venkataramana Colony, Mallapur in Hyderabad.
The operation was reportedly led by DSP Majeed Ali Khan.
Officials stated that the searches uncovered:
- ₹1.1 crore in cash
- Around 1 kg of gold ornaments
- Silver items
- Key property documents
Officials Suspect Assets Worth Nearly ₹100 Crore
According to officials, Kumar is suspected to own assets worth nearly ₹100 crore.
The properties allegedly linked to Kumar reportedly include:
- 3 flats in Hyderabad gated communities
- 6 open plots
- 3 acres of land in Nizamabad district
Officials are also examining bank lockers as part of the continuing investigation.

The Telangana ACB stated that the probe is still underway and further details are awaited.
