Hyderabad International Airport bags prestigious Level 4+: Transition accreditation


Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has achieved the prestigious Level 4+: Transition accreditation from the Airports Council International (ACI) for its outstanding commitment to global climate goals in carbon management.

This accreditation is the highest recognition within the esteemed Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) program, established by Airports Council International (ACI) EUROPE in 2009. The ACA program serves as the industry benchmark for evaluating an airport’s initiatives in carbon emission reduction and management.

It encompasses six levels: Level 1: Mapping, Level 2: Reduction, Level 3: Optimization, Level 3+: Neutrality, Level 4: Transformation, and the highest, Level 4+: Transition, as highlighted in a statement from GMR.
