Hyderabad: Mild tension prevails at Rajendra Nagar as gau rakshaks become active ahead of Baqra’eid
The traders had all the documents issued by the veterinary doctor and the local market committee. Despite that, claiming the presence of cows in the truck, the gau rakshaks stopped the truck and shifted the cattle to the shed with the help of police.
Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at Toll Gate 17 of Rajendra Nagar Outer Ring Road (ORR) today when a group of people claiming to be cow vigilantes stopped a lorry carrying cattle.
At around 9 am on Sunday, a group of people stopped a lorry carrying cattle from Narsingi to Rajendra Nagar. Claiming that the cows were being transported through the truck, the men in the group confiscated the truck. Row erupted between traders and cow vigilantes.
On learning about the incident the police reached the spot and shifted the cattle to the shed and dispersed the crowd.

Mohammad Mansoor, president of the youth wing of the Telangana All India Jamiat-ul-Quraysh, alleged that a complaint has also been lodged against him with the Rajendra Nagar police.
After receiving the complaint, the police said that all the cattle were shifted to the shed. The decision to release the cattle will be taken after an examination by the official veterinary doctor.
