Around 200 families residing near Hasmatpet Lake are protesting against the demolition notices issued for their homes. The affected residents, expressing their distress, said, “If our homes are demolished, we will all jump into the Ganga and end our lives.

” They emphasized that the land titles were originally provided by the Congress party, and now, it is unfair for the same party to issue eviction notices.

The locals criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s actions, stating, “We have never seen a chief minister like this. All of Revanth Reddy’s actions are wrong.” They further questioned, “What benefit will it bring by demolishing poor people’s homes? Many have built their houses on lakes in the Hi-Tech City area; ask them to demolish those first.”

Note: The affected families demand a review of the decision and highlight the need for equal treatment across all sections of society.
