Hyderabad Police Foil Suicide Attempt in OU City, Man Rescued by BC-3 Team

OU City Police Hyderabad rescued a man attempting suicide near MK Nagar after receiving a Dial 100 call from Borabanda. BC-3 police personnel foiled the attempt and conducted counseling.

In a commendable display of alertness and rapid response, Hyderabad City Police successfully foiled a suicide attempt and rescued a man in the OU City area of Hyderabad on Sunday night.

At approximately 21:00 hours on 17.05.2026, the Blue Colt-3 (BC-3) staff of OU City received an emergency Dial 100 call from Nelaveni, a resident of Borabanda. She informed police that her husband, Mallesh, was attempting to end his life at his residence.

According to preliminary inquiries, Mallesh allegedly attempted suicide due to financial issues.

OU Police Track Residence Near Street No. 7, MK Nagar

The emergency information was immediately escalated to M. Mahesh, Inspector of Police, OU Police Station.

Under his guidance and with technical assistance, the police team swiftly tracked and narrowed down the exact coordinates of Mallesh’s residence located near Street No. 7, MK Nagar in Hyderabad.

BC-3 Team Rescues Mallesh During Suicide Attempt

The BC-3 team, consisting of Police Constable (PC 5584) C. Vijay Kumar Naik and TGSP Police Constable (PC 1699) Thirupathi, immediately rushed to the MK Nagar residence.

Upon entering the house, the officers found Mallesh attempting to hang himself. Police personnel quickly intervened, stopped the attempt, and safely rescued him.

The prompt action by the police team reportedly saved the man’s life within minutes of receiving the distress call.

Counseling Conducted at OU City Police Station

After the rescue, Mallesh was brought to the OU City Police Station.

Inspector M. Mahesh personally conducted a professional counseling session for him to address his distress and ensure his psychological stability.

Following the counseling session, Mallesh was safely handed over to his family members.

Senior Officials and Public Appreciate Hyderabad Police

The prompt and heroic response of the BC-3 police personnel received appreciation from senior police officials and members of the local public.

Police officials praised the alertness and rapid response shown by the constables in rescuing the man during the emergency situation.
