Hyderabad Public School Clinches CISCE AP & Telangana Pre-Subroto Cup U-17 Boys Football Title

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Public School (HPS), Begumpet, emerged champions in the Under-17 Boys category of the CISCE Sports & Games AP & Telangana Pre-Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2026, held at Nasr Boys School, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, from June 15 to 18.

In the first semifinal, Hyderabad Public School defeated hosts Nasr Boys School, Gachibowli, by a solitary goal. Abdul Kalam scored the match-winning goal for HPS to secure a place in the final.

In the second semifinal, St. Patrick High School edged past Sherwood Public School 2-1. Abraham and Shyam scored for St. Patrick High School, while Tarun netted the lone goal for Sherwood Public School.

The final witnessed a dominant performance from Hyderabad Public School as they outclassed St. Patrick High School 4-0 to lift the championship trophy. Danyal opened the scoring for HPS, while Abdul Kalam struck twice to extend the lead. Abhiram added the fourth goal to complete a comprehensive victory.

The closing ceremony was attended by Mir Hafizuddin Ahmed, Principal of Nasr Boys School, Gachibowli, who presented the trophies and congratulated the winners. Members of the Hyderabad Public School coaching staff were also present during the prize distribution ceremony.

The tournament featured participation from leading CISCE-affiliated schools across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and served as a qualifying event for the prestigious Subroto Cup Football Tournament.
