Hyderabad rain washes away Biryani; video goes viral

The Musi River which flows through Hyderabad was also flooded as 13 gates of Osman Sagar were open upto six feet and eight gates of Himayat Sagar were open upto four feet last week as the twin reservoirs were receiving copious inflows in the wake of heavy rains.

Hyderabad: Two vessels, possibly filled with the flavorful biryani were found floating away in a heavily flooded street in Hyderabad. 

The incident seems to be taken place on Friday but came to light today after several media portals covered the story and the video went viral on social media.

The video was filmed outside ‘Adiba Hotel’ in Hyderabad’s Nawab Saheb Kunta. The video shows a black vessel atop a brown pot bobbing away from the restaurant in the floodwaters.

The posts received hilarious responses, including one that read, “Is this the latest in home delivery?” Another user called it “the great escape”.

Incessant rains lashed out Telangana in the last few days leading to several areas being waterlogged.
