HYDRAA Protects 3.63 Acres of Government Land Worth Over ₹600 Crore
HYDRAA protected 3.63 acres of government land adjoining Banjara Lake on Road No. 13, Banjara Hills, with the land estimated to be worth more than ₹600 crore.
According to the press note, the land remained an unrecognised plot in the Jubilee Hills Municipality layout prepared during the Nizam era and is currently involved in a court dispute.
The Banjara Hills Lake Protection Committee and local residents submitted complaints through HYDRAA Prajavani, alleging that several people were attempting to encroach upon the land. They requested HYDRAA to protect the property and develop it into a public park.
The complainants stated that no one had purchased the plot when the layout was prepared during the Nizam period. However, neighbouring landowners allegedly claimed ownership and occupied it, while their legal heirs are now fighting the matter in court.
Residents also complained that the land adjoining the lake had turned into a dumping yard, making the surroundings dirty, and requested HYDRAA to protect both the land and Banjara Lake.
HYDRAA conducted a field inspection along with officials from the concerned departments. Pending the court’s final decision, the agency fenced the land to prevent encroachments and installed HYDRAA boards displaying details of the court case.

HYDRAA Saves 800-Square-Yard Park in Venkatadri Nagar
HYDRAA also protected an 800-square-yard park site in Venkatadri Nagar, located in Mamidla village, Hayathnagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy district.
According to the press note, a layout comprising 118 plots over 7.20 acres was developed in 1975, with 800 square yards reserved for a park.
The park land was allegedly converted into residential plots and sold. Local residents objected at that time, questioning how land reserved for a park could be sold.
The release stated that the land was registered, a bank loan was obtained against it, and when the loan was not repaid, bankers discovered that it was actually reserved as park land.
Another person allegedly entered the matter, negotiated to settle the bank loan for a lower amount, and occupied the land by constructing precast walls.
Meanwhile, the court ruled that the land was a park site, but the encroachment allegedly continued.
Following complaints received through HYDRAA Prajavani, officials conducted a field inspection, confirmed that the land was reserved for a park, removed the encroachments, fenced the 800-square-yard site, and installed HYDRAA boards identifying it as park land.
The protected land is estimated to be worth around ₹3 crore.
HYDRAA Protects Two More Park Sites in Anaghapuri Colony
HYDRAA also protected two park sites measuring 500 square yards each in Anaghapuri Colony, Boduppal Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri district.

The park sites were later allegedly converted into plots and encroached upon.
Following complaints received through HYDRAA Prajavani, officials conducted a field inspection and confirmed that both locations had originally been reserved as park land.
HYDRAA removed the precast brick compound walls, erected HYDRAA signboards identifying the sites as park land, and fenced both properties.
The combined 1,000-square-yard land is estimated to be worth around ₹6 crore.
