Newlywed Couple Killed in Road Accident in Telangana’s Nalgonda

Mahesh died on the spot, while Rushita was rushed to a government hospital in Nalgonda, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Hyderabad: A newly married couple was killed in a road accident in Telangana on Wednesday night. The couple, identified as 23-year-old Chittaluru Mahesh and 19-year-old Rushita, were riding a motorcycle on their way home from Hyderabad when they were hit by a speeding sand truck.

Mahesh died on the spot, while Rushita was rushed to a government hospital in Nalgonda, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

The accident occurred at around 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday near the Thatikal village in the Nalgonda district. The truck driver fled the scene after the accident.

The Nalgonda police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

Love Marriage

The couple had been married for just one month. It was their love marriage. They were from the Gudivada village in the Kathepalli district. They were on their way home after visiting relatives in Nalgonda.

The sand truck was reportedly speeding at the time of the accident. The truck driver has been identified and is being sought by the police.

The couple’s deaths have caused a great deal of grief in their community. They were both well-liked and respected.
