Now UPI Service is Available in UAE as well as These Six Countries

After the launch of India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services in Sri Lanka and Mauritius, they are now available in a total of seven countries.

Following the initiation of services in both these countries, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, introduced the UPI RuPay card service in Abu Dhabi with the Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The central government shared a map on its MyGovIndia platform highlighting these countries where UPI will be accepted. France, the United Arab Emirates, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Nepal, and Bhutan are the countries where these services will be available.

In a post on his official handle, the Prime Minister wrote that UPI has gone global, emphasizing the international launch of India’s Unified Payments Interface with Sri Lanka and Mauritius. The interface represents instant, one-stop payment services, indicating “Make in India, Make for the World”.

Posting about the launch on his official handle, the Prime Minister noted that the initiation of UPI services in Sri Lanka and Mauritius underscores India’s strong relations with these countries.

Sharing a video of the launch of UPI RuPay card services in the United Arab Emirates, MyGovIndia posted on its handle, “UPI in UAE! PM @narendramodi and UAE President @MohammedBinZayed unveiled the UPI RuPay card service, which will promote digital connectivity in Abu Dhabi.”
