Asaduddin Owaisi Assures Support Against Illegal E-Pharmacy Operations After Meeting Chemists Delegation

Telangana Chamber of Chemists and Druggists met AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi at Darussalam, Hyderabad, seeking support against illegal e-pharmacy operations and GSR notifications.

Hyderabad: A delegation from the Telangana Chamber of Chemists and Druggists met AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi at Darussalam in Hyderabad and sought support against alleged illegal e-pharmacy operations in the country.

During the meeting, the delegation requested AIMIM to support their demand for immediate action against illegal e-pharmacy operations and also urged the withdrawal of Government of India Health Department Notifications GSR 817(E) dated 28.08.2018 and GSR 220(E) dated 26.03.2020.

Telangana Chemists Delegation Meets Asaduddin Owaisi at Darussalam

The delegation from the Telangana Chamber of Chemists and Druggists held discussions with Asaduddin Owaisi regarding the impact of illegal e-pharmacy operations on the pharmaceutical trade sector.

The meeting took place at Darussalam in Hyderabad, which serves as the headquarters of AIMIM.

The delegation appealed for political support in raising the issue before the Central Government and Parliament.

AIMIM Extends Support Against Illegal E-Pharmacy Operations

During the interaction, Asaduddin Owaisi assured the delegation that AIMIM would fully support their demands.

He stated that the issue would be strongly raised in Parliament during the upcoming Monsoon Session.

The AIMIM President also assured the delegation that their concerns regarding illegal e-pharmacy operations and the Health Department notifications would be taken up seriously.

Demand to Withdraw GSR Notifications

The delegation specifically demanded the withdrawal of the following Government of India Health Department notifications:

  • GSR 817(E) dated 28.08.2018
  • GSR 220(E) dated 26.03.2020

According to the delegation, these notifications are linked to the functioning of e-pharmacy operations, against which they are seeking stricter action.
