Pragya Jaiswal Opens Up About Her Role in “Daku Maharaj”

Jaiswal also reflected on her decision to take on the challenging role in Daku Maharaj. Initially, she was hesitant about portraying a character with intense and physically demanding scenes. “When I first met the director, he mentioned that I seemed hesitant about the role. I also learned during the look test that my character gets pregnant and faces some intense moments. Honestly, I was a bit scared at first,” she confessed.

However, she soon realized that the role was an incredible opportunity to step out of her comfort zone. “As an actor, I realized this was a great challenge, and it excited me. I’m so glad I took on the challenge,” Jaiswal added.

Overcoming Challenges in Intense Action Sequences

Pragya also shared insights into the demanding action sequences in the film. One particularly memorable scene features her character, Kaveri, who is pregnant, fighting to protect her village. “The action sequences were physically demanding. In one scene, my character has to fight to protect her village. It’s a powerful moment showing her strength and determination,” Jaiswal explained. She added that this scene stood out because it defies the typical portrayal of pregnant women in films, offering an empowering depiction of Kaveri putting aside personal needs to fight for a greater cause.
