Stampede-Like Chaos Erupts at Lulu Mall, Hyderabad: Visitors Decry Sunday Rush, Lengthy Queues, and Frustrating Delays

Hyderabad: Last week, the Abu Dhabi-based Lulu Group unveiled its expansive shopping mall in Hyderabad, causing a significant traffic congestion in the Kukatpally area of the Telangana capital.

With a sprawling 500,000 sq ft of space, the mall drew immense crowds, evoking memories of the launch of Ikea in the city a few years back.

Lulu Group currently operates five malls in India, located in Kochi, Trivandrum, Thrissur, Bengaluru, and Lucknow.

A user of X platform (formerly Twitter) wrote, “Stampede like scenes at Lulu Mall, Hyderabad. Bad decision to visit on a Sunday. Wasted 5 hours, stuck in traffic, wait times for food almost 1 hour and didn’t even purchase anything because of long lines. Plus the heat omg! Horrible experience”.
