Telangana Assembly adjourned till Sep 12 after adopting condolence motions

Hyderabad: The monsoon session of the Telangana legislative Assembly which began here on Tuesday was adjourned till September 12 after condolence motions were adopted mourning the death of ex-legislators in the recent past.
The Assembly was adjourned by Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, who was in the chair, till next Monday, soon after the house adopted the condolence motions.
The members observed silence for a while mourning the death of former members Swarajyam Mallu, who had represented the Tungaturthi Assembly Constituency and Paripati Janardhan Reddy elected from Kamalapur Asssembly constituency.
The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the legislature will meet after the adjournment of today’s proceedings to decide about the number of days the two houses (Assembly and Council) would be in session and the agenda that should be taken up.
The monsoon sessison of Legislative Council also began at 1130 hours today.
The current monsoon session of legislature has been convened in view of the six month deadline between the two sessions that is set to end on September 14.
The budget session of the Legislature was adjourned sine die on March 15.
