Hyderabad: Telangana Irrigation, Food & Civil Supplies Minister Capt. Uttam Kumar Reddy announced the state government’s objective to transform Hyderabad into a premier global investment destination.
Speaking at the inauguration of the West Hyderabad Property Expo 2024, organised by the Times of India at Naren Gardens in Miyapur on Saturday, Reddy emphasised the city’s international growth and the government’s support for the real estate sector.
“I wish the Times West Property Show all the very best and hope the builders attract many customers. Hyderabad has grown to international standards with excellent infrastructure, a moderate climate, a cosmopolitan culture, and a talented workforce. The Telangana Government will continue to support the building and construction industry and promote the real estate boom,” said Reddy.
He highlighted the planned expansion of the Metro rail network to all corners of the city and the development of a landmark riverfront along the Musi River, both aimed at enhancing Hyderabad’s global image. Additionally, the government has announced a Rs 22,000-crore Regional Ring Road (RRR) project to improve accessibility and transportation.
“We aim to build a green, pollution-free Hyderabad by encouraging sustainable practices, including green buildings. Our efforts to attract global investors will make Hyderabad a top investment destination, competing with the best cities worldwide. I hope this property show meets its objectives and brings satisfaction to both builders and customers,” Reddy added.
Earlier, Kamal Krishnan, Head of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana at the Times of India, welcomed the attendees and underscored Hyderabad’s comprehensive growth. “Hyderabad is expanding in all directions—north, east, south, and west.
This exhibition in the west of Hyderabad showcases the area’s development to meet the aspirations of its residents. At the Times of India, we have been part of India’s growth for over 150 years, supporting various sectors including real estate,” Krishnan said.
He further elaborated on the importance of providing a platform for unbiased views on the city’s real estate market, benefiting all stakeholders including builders and consumers. “We look forward to two fantastic days of discussions on great projects and home-buying opportunities,” Krishnan added.
