In a video conference on Friday with District Collectors, Police Commissioners, and officials responsible for the administration of Inter and Tenth Exams, Shanti Kumari stressed the importance of maintaining integrity in the examination process.
Shanti Kumari recognised the potential impact on the future of millions of students and asserted that any acts of malpractice would not be tolerated.
She emphasised not only the arrest of those involved malpractice but also the initiation of criminal cases against them.
The Chief Secretary highlighted the strict prohibition of carrying cell phones by any staff, including supervisors, within the examination centers.
With approximately 9,80,000 students attending exams at 1521 centers statewide for both first and second years, she assured heavy police presence at each examination center.
Shanti Kumari urged District Collectors to adhere to the plan for smooth, transparent, and efficient organisation of exams. Daily review meetings with concerned district officials were recommended to address any issues promptly.
She emphasised the need for immediate action against false news on social media regarding the conduct of exams. The conference, attended by DGP Ravi Gupta, Secretaries Burra Venkatesham, SAM Rizvi, Nadeem Ahmed, and other high officials, addressed the concerns surrounding the conduct of the examinations, an official statement said.
