Adilabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy dismissed claims of any imminent overthrow of the Congress government.

Refuting speculations that KCR would return as CM, Revanth Reddy asserted that no one dares to challenge the stability of the Congress-led government in the state.

Speaking at the Sankharavam public meeting held at Indravelli in this district on Friday, ahead of the parliamentary elections, Revanth Reddy accused the previous BRS government of financial mismanagement, alleging the misappropriation of funds meant for development projects. He criticized KCR’s family, claiming they left Telangana burdened with a debt of Rs 7 lakh crores.

Revanth Reddy highlighted alleged financial irregularities under the BRS government, pointing to the Mission Bhagiratha project where Rs 40,000 crores were purportedly misused. He accused the Congress government of being deprived of funds due to the previous administration’s financial misconduct.

The Chief Minister pledged to fill 15,000 Police Constable positions in the next 15 days and emphasized efforts to address unemployment and provide employment opportunities. He questioned the KCR government’s failure to fill these positions and announced plans for distributing Rs 500k gas cylinders and implementing free electricity up to 200 units.

Revanth Reddy apologized for the 1981 Indravelli massacre and promised to lead the tribal area towards development, adopting Adilabad.

He invoked the spirit of the martyrs and assured steps to make people from all walks of life happy, envisioning an “Indiramma Rajya” inspired by the struggle of the martyrs.

Alleging the state’s deterioration under KCR’s rule, Revanth Reddy criticized the opposition for initiating criticism within such a short time since Congress came to power.

Earlier, CM Revanth Reddy paid tributes at the Indravelli Memorial Stupam. The Chief Minister distributed cheques worth Rs 50 crore for SGH women and laid the foundation stone for the developmental works, including drinking water, roads, the development of Nagoba temple and other works worth about Rs 110 crore in the Adilabad district.
