Telangana: Two burnt alive as container trucks collide
The cabin of the one container truck was completely gutted in the fire and it was enroute to Nizamabad from here, police said.
Hyderabad: Two persons were burnt alive when two container trucks caught fire after head-on collision on the National Highway in Narsingi village in Medak district on Friday.
On receiving information, one fire tender rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
The cabin of the one container truck was completely gutted in the fire and it was enroute to Nizamabad from here, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Naraju and Basavaru, both residents of Karnataka.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway, police added.
In another accident, one person was killed on the spot and nine others injured, some of them seriously when an autorickshaw in which they were travelling collided with a car on National Highway-65 near Akupamula village of Munagala Mandal in Suryapet district today.
The injured were admitted to Kodad Government hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, police added.
