At least 12 bogies of the goods trains jumped tracks following the incident.

There were, however, no report of any casualty or injury, after the collision around 4 AM, sources said.

The accident happened after one of the goods trains apparently overshot the red signal.

The train crossed the loop line overlooking the main track and dashed against another stationary goods train at Onda station, sources added.
