Divya Dwivedi is an associate professor in the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. She is a philosopher, Marxist, and author, focusing on subjects like Hinduphobia, ontology, metaphysics, literature, and political philosophy.
Divya, originally from Allahabad, is the daughter of Rakesh Dwivedi, a senior lawyer in the Supreme Court. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Delhi University’s Lady Shri Ram College and completed her Master’s at St. Stephen’s College. Additionally, she pursued her M.Phil at the University of Delhi and obtained her doctorate from IIT Delhi.
Notably, she has made controversial remarks about Hinduism, describing it as a “false religion invented in the earlier 20th century.”
