Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that her government will not allow NRC in West Bengal. She said this in the administrative meeting of Maldah and Murshidabad districts on Thursday.
Mamata said, “I will not allow NRC in Bengal.’ She added that she will not allow NRC in any form.
The Chief Minister said, ‘We are trying to find that paper again. Looking for this paper, that paper. Having no papers will make you a foreigner. Will send to detention camp. The way it is done in Assam. I will not allow this.’
The chief minister asked everyone to include their name in the voter list. And also advised to update Aadhaar card every 10 years.
