Hanamkonda: An Instagram obsessed youth was hit by a train while he was shooting for a video on the railway tracks. The teenager suffered serious injuries when a train hit him at the Waddepally tank near the Kazipet railway station here on Sunday.

17-year-old, Akshay Raj, son of Ravinder, is an Intermediate first year student.
Railway police rushed him to the government-run MGM Hospital. Later, his relatives shifted him to a private hospital. According to Telangana Today, he suffered fractures in a leg and also sustained injuries on the face. Doctors declared his condition out of danger.
Akshay, who was hit by the train coming to Warangal from Balharshah, was making a video for a mobile app along with two of his friends. A gangman of the railways who was working on the tracks when the incident took place is quoted to have said, “He was walking along the track closely when the train was coming. And he was hit by the engine of the train.”
Another gangman told that despite warned by his friends to move away from the train he did not heed to their warnings.
A case has been registered and investigations are underway.
