Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy released ₹2,200 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme directly into the accounts of 40 lakh farmers. The funds were distributed during the Rythu Utsavam held at Nasturupalli village in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district under the Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika programme.

Total ₹5,700 Crore Released So Far Under Rythu Bharosa
Officials confirmed that:
- ₹2,200 crore released on April 20, 2026
- Total funds released so far: ₹5,700 crore
- Additional ₹3,300 crore to be released next month
The scheme aims to provide financial support to farmers for agricultural investment.
CM Highlights Government Commitment to Farmers’ Welfare
Speaking at the public meeting, Revanth Reddy said:

- Government is committed to strengthening farmers financially
- Focus on making agriculture a profitable activity
He emphasized that farmer welfare is a top priority of the Telangana government.
Loan Waiver and Support Measures for Farmers
The Chief Minister highlighted key achievements:
- Loan waiver up to ₹2 lakh implemented
- Benefited 25.35 lakh farmers
- Previously released ₹9,000 crore in just 9 days under Rythu Bharosa
He reiterated the goal of making agriculture a celebration rather than a burden.

The event was attended by several ministers, including:

Foundation Stone Laid for ₹203 Crore Bridge on Maneru River
Earlier, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for a:
- High-level bridge on Maneru River
- Between Arenda and Damerakunta villages
- Estimated cost: ₹203 crore
The project aims to improve connectivity and infrastructure in the region.
