Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, the Special Task Force Police have arrested a man for illegally growing cannabis (ganja) plants on his house rooftop in Nagaram. The accused has been identified as C. Shashidhar, a resident of East Gandhinagar area.

Police seized 17 ganja plants from his residence and handed him over to the Ghatkesar Excise Police Station for further action.

Accused Quit Software Job, Started Ganja Cultivation

According to Special Task Force officials:

  • The accused had left his software job
  • Due to lack of money to purchase ganja, he began cultivating it
  • He grew ganja plants on the rooftop (terrace) of his own house
  • Total of 17 cannabis plants were seized during the raid
