C. V. Anand visited the EAGLE Telangana headquarters at iCCC in Banjara Hills to review anti-narcotics efforts and ongoing operations. During the meeting, the Telangana DGP stressed that educational institutions must report drug-related cases to police and authorities instead of hiding them in the name of institutional prestige. He stated that legal changes are being considered to tackle the narcotics menace threatening the social fabric of the state.

According to a post shared by C. V. Anand, he visited the EAGLE Telangana Force Headquarters at iCCC in Banjara Hills on Thursday.
During the visit, Sandeep Shandilya gave a detailed three-hour presentation covering:
- Various narcotics cases registered
- Operations conducted
- Arrests made
- Drug seizures
- Awareness campaigns
- Efforts to improve investigation quality
Officials also requested support regarding manpower shortages and other operational issues.
DGP Calls for Better Coordination in Anti-Drug Operations
C. V. Anand stated that stronger efforts are required from district SPs and CPs to combat narcotics activities effectively.
He also stressed the need for better coordination by EAGLE Telangana in anti-drug enforcement activities across the state.
According to the DGP, combating narcotics has become the number one priority of the Telangana Police and the state government.
Educational Institutions May Face Mandatory Reporting Rules
The Telangana DGP said educational institutions must take responsibility for reporting narcotics-related cases to police authorities.
He criticized the practice of allegedly hiding such incidents to protect the prestige of institutions.
“Educational institutions have to take responsibility in reporting cases to the police or authorities and not hide them in the name of prestige of their institutions and this will be mandated by law,” the DGP stated.
He added that the government is considering legal changes to eliminate the narcotics menace, which he said threatens to damage the social fabric of the state.
Telangana Government Prioritising Anti-Narcotics Drive
C. V. Anand assured full cooperation for anti-narcotics operations.
He stated that all support would be extended to strengthen the anti-drug drive being undertaken by Telangana Police and the state government.
