Chilkalguda Yavan Murder Case: 9 Arrested Including Girl’s Family Members, Police Say Murder Was Pre-Planned
Secunderabad police arrested nine accused and one minor in the Chilkalguda Yavan murder case. Police said the murder was pre-planned and carried out by the girl’s family members.
Hyderabad: Rakshita Krishnamurthy said the murder of Yavan in Chilkalguda was a pre-planned crime allegedly carried out by the girl’s family members. Police stated that the girl’s father, paternal uncles, brother-in-law, elder brother, and cousins collectively murdered Yavan after planning the attack five days before the incident. A total of nine accused persons and one minor have been arrested in connection with the murder that took place at midnight on May 7 in the Chilkalguda area of Hyderabad.

Secunderabad Police Say Yavan Murder Was Pre-Planned
Secunderabad DCP Rakshita Krishnamurthy said police established that the murder was carried out according to a specific plan.
According to police, the accused collectively conducted reconnaissance of the area before executing the murder.
The DCP stated that five specialised police teams investigated the case.
Police said Yavan and Chandrika had known each other since their school days and had been in a romantic relationship for the past two years.
The police also revealed that the girl’s family members had previously warned Yavan.
Police Arrest 9 Accused and One Minor in Chilkalguda Murder Case
Police arrested a total of nine accused individuals along with one minor in connection with the murder case.
The arrested accused are:
- A1: Allaboyina Sai Kiran @ Sai (27), Private Employee, Rowdy Sheeter at Chilakalaguda Police Station, and the girl’s brother-in-law
- A2: Rajam Paramesh Kumar Yadav (19), the girl’s biological brother
- A3: Rajam Vamsi Krishna @ Rocky (19), cousin brother
- A4: Rajam Manish (21), cousin brother
- A5: Srigiri Rahul (22)
- A6: Kuchchula Shiva Nandan Yadav (20)
- A7: Rajam Narsimha Yadav (50), the girl’s father
- A8: Rajam Srisailam Yadav (48), the girl’s paternal uncle
- A9: Rajam Mallesh Yadav @ Mallanna (48), the girl’s paternal uncle
One more minor has also been taken into custody in the case.
Prime Accused Allegedly Wanted to Marry the Girl
Police identified A1 Allaboyina Sai Kiran as the prime accused and mastermind behind the murder conspiracy.
According to the investigation, Sai Kiran had intended to marry the girl himself.
Police said the accused planned the murder five days before the actual incident.
Two Accused Tested Positive for Marijuana
Police stated that two accused persons tested positive for marijuana (ganja).
The accused who tested positive are:
- A5 Srigiri Rahul
- A6 Kuchchula Shiva Nandan Yadav
Knife, Mobile Phones and Two-Wheeler Seized
Police said the accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
During the investigation, police seized:
- A knife
- Mobile phones
- A two-wheeler
from the possession of the accused.
