KTR Demands Dismissal of Bandi Sanjay Over POCSO Case Involving Bhageerath

Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao demanded the immediate dismissal of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar to ensure a fair and impartial investigation into the POCSO case involving his son Bhageerath. Speaking at a BRS party event held in LB Nagar in Hyderabad on Sunday, KTR made strong allegations against both BJP and Congress leadership over the handling of the case.

KTR stated that justice cannot be achieved if slogans such as “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” remain only political rhetoric.

KTR Questions Delay and Lookout Notice Against Bhageerath

KT Rama Rao remarked that perhaps for the first time in India, a lookout notice had to be issued against the son of a sitting Union Minister.

He questioned how the accused Bhageerath was allegedly hidden for nine days and asked who protected him during that period.

KTR said an impartial investigation would not be possible while Union Minister Bandi Sanjay continues in office and demanded that the Central Government immediately remove him from the Union Cabinet.

KTR Alleges Misuse of Power and Pressure on Victim’s Family

KTR alleged that individuals accused of misusing power and influence in sensitive matters should not continue in constitutional positions.

He stated that it was not only an insult to Telangana but also to the entire country.

The BRS working president further alleged that while the Union Minister’s son committed injustice against a minor girl, the victim’s parents themselves were allegedly subjected to intimidation and pressure by Bandi Sanjay.

KTR accused the Union Minister of personally threatening and harassing the victim’s family.

Allegations Against BJP and Congress Leadership

KT Rama Rao also alleged that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy attempted to dilute the seriousness of the case.

He accused both BJP and Congress leadership of allegedly working together to suppress the issue by branding it as a “honey trap.”

KTR further alleged that sections of the media were influenced to avoid reporting on the matter.

KTR Warns Against Allowing Powerful Individuals to Escape Accountability

KTR warned that if influential individuals are allowed to escape accountability, women and minor girls may hesitate to come forward in future abuse or harassment cases.

He said society would send a dangerous message if people in power are treated as above the law.

Demanding immediate action, KTR reiterated that Bandi Sanjay must be dismissed and the investigation should be conducted transparently and independently.

KTR Praises Victim’s Family and BRS Leaders

KTR praised the courage of the victim’s mother and parents for standing firm despite alleged threats and pressure.

He stated that the family did not step back even when both state and central leaders allegedly attempted to suppress the case.

Calling the fight for justice “historic and courageous,” KTR said the struggle undertaken by the victim’s family against accused Bhageerath deserves appreciation and support from society.

He also praised the efforts of:

• BRS women’s wing
• Women leaders and activists
• Student organisations
• Social media activists

for continuously demanding justice in the case.

KTR stated that BRS women leaders staged protests across Telangana, approached the Women’s Commission and the DGP, and even protested near the statue of B. R. Ambedkar demanding justice for the victim.

He also appreciated senior BRS leader R. S. Praveen Kumar for strongly taking up the issue and supporting the victim’s family.

KTR demanded the dismissal of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay over the POCSO case involving Bhageerath and called for a transparent and independent investigation. Speaking at a BRS event in LB Nagar, Hyderabad, the BRS working president alleged intimidation of the victim’s family, suppression attempts by BJP and Congress leaders, and misuse of influence in the case. KTR also praised the victim’s family, BRS women leaders, activists and R.S. Praveen Kumar for pursuing justice.
