Telangana Minister Vivek Venkatswamy announces Indiramma Houses, new pensions from June 2 and major development works in Patancheru constituency.

Sangareddy: Telangana Labour, Employment and Mines Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy announced major welfare and development initiatives in Patancheru constituency, including the second phase distribution of Indiramma Houses from June 2, sanction of new pensions and road development works worth ₹8.30 crore in Bhanur village of Patancheru mandal in Sangareddy district.

The Minister said the Telangana Government is fulfilling the housing dreams of poor families through the Indiramma Housing Scheme inspired by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

3,500 Indiramma Houses Sanctioned for Each Assembly Constituency

Speaking at the programme after laying the foundation stone for road works and development projects worth around ₹8 crore in Bhanur, the Minister said 3,500 Indiramma houses have been sanctioned for each Assembly constituency.

He clarified that the houses are being allotted only to genuine beneficiaries and announced that the second phase distribution of Indiramma houses will begin from June 2.

The Minister said:

“The Congress government is fulfilling Indira Gandhi’s ‘Garibi Hatao’ slogan in true spirit.”

He alleged that the previous BRS government misled people in the name of double-bedroom houses and stated that eligible beneficiaries are now receiving houses under the present Congress government.

New Pensions to Be Sanctioned From June 2

Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy said ration cards are being issued to all eligible families so they can avail benefits under welfare schemes.

He further stated that many deserving people are waiting for government pensions and announced that new pensions would be sanctioned from June 2 onwards.

₹8.30 Crore BT Road Works Launched in Patancheru

The Minister laid the foundation stone for BT road construction works from Patancheru to Bhanur village with an allocation of ₹8.30 crore.

He also assured that steps would be taken to widen narrow roads in the Patancheru area.

According to the Minister, discussions will be held with the Roads and Buildings Department Secretary and road expansion works will begin soon.

Minister Recalls Contributions of Indira Gandhi and Senior Leaders

Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy recalled the contribution of Indira Gandhi during her tenure as Medak Lok Sabha Member and said the Visakha factory was established in Medak district during that period.

He also stated that several Central Government institutions were set up in the region due to her initiative.

The Minister remembered veteran leaders Kaka Venkataswamy and T. Anjaiah for their services in INTUC.

During the event, the Minister unveiled the portrait of former Chief Minister T. Anjaiah and paid floral tributes.

₹15 Crore Development Works in Five Municipalities

Later, the Minister launched multiple development works and welfare programmes across Patancheru constituency.

Under the Urban Development Scheme, he inaugurated development works worth ₹15 crore each in:

  • Isnapur Municipality
  • Indresham Municipality
  • Jinnaram Municipality
  • Gummadidala Municipality
  • Gaddapotharam Municipality

The Minister said the funds would be used for:

  • Road works
  • Drainage systems
  • Strengthening civic infrastructure

Housewarming Programme and School Development

The Minister also attended the Indiramma Housing housewarming programme held at Solakpalli village in Jinnaram mandal and conveyed his wishes to beneficiaries.

He reiterated that the Congress government is fulfilling the dream of home ownership for poor families.

Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy also laid the foundation stone for construction of additional classrooms at the KGBV school in Jinnaram.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the Telangana Government is giving special priority to strengthening the education sector.

Telangana Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy announced that the second phase distribution of Indiramma Houses and sanction of new pensions will begin from June 2. The Minister also launched road and civic development works worth crores in Patancheru constituency, including ₹8.30 crore BT road works from Patancheru to Bhanur village and ₹15 crore development works in five municipalities of Sangareddy district.
