Telangana Formation Day 2026 to Be Celebrated Grandly at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad

Telangana Government to celebrate Telangana Formation Day 2026 grandly at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad with security, cultural and live telecast arrangements.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has decided to organise the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations on June 2, 2026, in a grand manner at the Parade Grounds. State Government Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj directed senior officials to make elaborate arrangements for the celebrations during a review meeting held on Tuesday at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat.

CM to Visit Gun Park Before Parade Grounds Event

Officials said the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will first visit Gun Park and pay tributes to Telangana martyrs at the Telangana Amaraveerula Stupam before attending the main Telangana Formation Day celebrations at Parade Grounds.

Vikas Raj reviewed the arrangements required at Parade Grounds and Gun Park and instructed officials to appoint one nodal officer from each department for coordination.

Telangana Formation Day Arrangements Reviewed

The Special Chief Secretary instructed the Police Department to ensure proper security arrangements on routes used by dignitaries.

Officials were directed to:

  • Arrange smooth parking facilities for vehicles coming to Parade Grounds
  • Prepare a traffic route map
  • Ensure traffic movement is not disrupted
  • Take all necessary precautions for crowd management

The Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department was instructed to arrange waterproof shamianas and barricading at the venue.

Sanitation, Drinking Water and Cultural Events Planned

Officials were directed to ensure sanitation works and drinking water facilities at the meeting venue and surrounding areas.

The Cultural Department was instructed to organise performances by artists to create a festive atmosphere during the Telangana Formation Day celebrations.

The Electricity Department was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply and generator backup.

Officials were also instructed to decorate important city landmarks with electric lights, including:

  • Telangana Assembly
  • State Secretariat
  • Charminar
  • Praja Bhavan
  • Other government offices

Live Telecast and Joint Rehearsals Planned

The Information Department Special Commissioner was instructed to make arrangements for live telecast of the Telangana Formation Day celebrations for wider publicity.

Vikas Raj directed all departments to work in coordination for successful conduct of the programme.

Officials were also instructed to begin joint rehearsals by all departments at Parade Grounds from May 25, 2026.

  • Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board MD Ashok Reddy
  • Senior police officials and officers from various departments

The Telangana Government will celebrate Telangana State Formation Day on June 2, 2026, at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad with grand arrangements. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will first pay tributes at Gun Park before attending the main event. Officials have been instructed to ensure security, traffic management, sanitation, drinking water, cultural performances, uninterrupted electricity and live telecast arrangements for the celebrations.
